Our Survey Says...

Well, the RCHP album arrived a few days ago. Within no time at all I ripped it to mp3 and put it on my phone.

I was not disappointed - it's excellent! Flea has his usual manic-100mph-fingers-at-a-blur basslines, John Frusciante is rockin with his beautiful guitar playing, Anthony Kiedis and his silky-smooth voice are still randomly saying words and Chad Smith is beating away some funky beats. I can't say that I've anywhere near fully appreciated the whole thing, but I already have a couple of favourites; "C'mon Girl" (track 12 on the Jupiter CD), and "Tell Me Baby" (track 2 on the Mars CD). Man it'd be great to be able to play bass like that guy.

Aaaaaaanyways, on to other exciting news; we finally got to look inside our flat yesterday!!! Yeayyyyy! We looked silly due to silly hard-hats, yellow vests and wellies. We also felt a bit pressured by the miserable lady that had to 'escort' us because she just stood there and said nothing while we wandered around being really excited about dusty walls, bare light-bulbs and planky floors. It was dead cool...lots of trying to figure out where stuff would go (after we've somehow aquired aforementioned stuff), measuring windows and taking pictures. We're going again on Friday to get Nick to look round and give us a quote for putting in carpets and a couple of other things that will need doing before we move in.

Tonight we have a band practice/sound check for the gig we're playing at youth tonight...really looking forward to it; should be good fun :-D will also be good to hear the other band we're playing at the Gig with;
Washwood. From what I've heard they sound alright you know!

Well, better get back to finishing up work now - in a bit yous guys!
